Itinerary:

 

Starting out from Tbilisi, you’ll first have the chance to view 16th-17th century churches and towers within the Ananuri architectural complex, overlooking Jinvali reservoir. From here you’ll carry on driving the Georgian Military Highway, with stops along the way to check out the mineral water springs of the surrounding hills and the joining of two mountain rivers who famously maintain their different colors even when they meet. After driving over the Cross pass you’ll have some time at an epic mountain viewpoint over a gorge. Aside from the breathtaking Caucasus Mountain range here you’ll also see the colorful and unique Soviet era “People’s Friendship” monument. Once you arrive in Kazbegi you will enjoy a local lunchwill move into a four wheel drive vehicle in order to reach the altitude of 2170 where the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church is located, and view the mountains from a whole new perspective. You will then be transferred back to Tbilisi.
